Poet and Spoken Word Artist NSAA has released a new book, Sub-American, a collection of poems dealing with the concept of being a hyphenated American. In his new book he explores a broad range of topics ranging from President Bush, hurricane Katrina and The Civil Rights Movement.
This is a self-titled debut release of guitar and poetry duo Electropoetic Coffee. Poet NSAA (aka Lawrence Dinkins) combines verses of struggle, politics and relationships with neo-folk songs. He is joined by guitarist and sound manipulator Ross Hammond. As Lawrence puts it "He's the electro part, I'm the poetic part and together we're going to brew up some coffee."
Okay this is what happened. Mario go to shows with a digital recorder and records everything. Seeing this I asked Mario one day, "Hey have you recorded me at anytime in your travels." Come to find out he had around 53 recording of me. Yepee! He burned a copy for me and I selected 13 of the best recordings from the Mario archive. I love listening to this CD cause you hear the audience reactions. Enjoy.
